On Assignment is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to complete a 13 week contract in the OR within an Outpatient Surgery Center in the Southern part of Dallas. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience within the Operating Room Suite.

Must be eligible to sit for CCM certification and must have a valid driver’s license. Excellent interpersonal skills, phone manners and organizational skills are essential. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite with such programs as Word and Excel as well as have experience with internet searches and a comfort level with other software programs. Ability to set priorities and work independently is essential. Spanish speaking ability a plus!

Role Summary

RN Triage/Observation – Nights

The RN Triage/Observation – Days position is a permanent, full-time (100%) day position and the RN Triage/Observation – Nights position is a permanent, part-time (64%) night position working collaboratively in the Urgent Care Unit with physicians and mid-level practitioners providing direct patient care and performing telephone triage. UHS and Urgent Care provide care for a diverse community including students, campus employees and their families. Responsibilities include assessing the severity of illness and injury, performing acute care skills such as IV therapy, EKGs and wound care, providing care to patients in the Observation Unit, and referral to appropriate health care providers. These positions include every other weekend, some holiday responsibilities and offer flexibility in scheduling. We are looking for candidates who are able to work independently and become part of an enthusiastic and hard-working team of nurses and support staff in a welcoming and fun-loving environment.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of accredited BSN degree program or extensive relevant education may substitute for part or all of the Bachelor’s degree. Current license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, five years of progressively responsible general clinical experience, ability to make assessments quickly and accurately, certified in basic CPR, annually renewed and ability to lift and transfer patients.

Day Position Salary Range: $47,600-$60,700;

Normal Salary Range: $47,600-$54,100.

Night Position Salary Range: $30,464-$38,848 (64%);

Normal Salary Range: $30,464-$34,624 (64%).
