Assumes responsibility to lead team in providing quality patient care. Demonstrates a commitment to
evidence-based practice and performs in accordance with the philosophy, established policies, procedures, and
standards of the Nursing Division and the Hospital. Responsible for pre and post diagnostic and/or
therapeutic intervention assessment, diagnoses, and interpretation of diagnostics, as well as plans,
implements, orders therapeutics and/or prescriptive medications and evaluates patient care from admission to
discharge from service in collaboration with the Medical Director, supervising physician, medical staff and
administration. Is responsible to direct, assign, and supervise ancillary staff team members in providing the
appropriate level of care in the most efficient manner. Acts as a role model to staff members. Is able to
effectively manage team work concept. Remains flexible in response to changes Performs all other duties as
assigned.
Education/Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Previous Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner
experience preferred. Masters Degree. Current Massachusetts RN licensure. BCLS & ACLS Certification. Advance
Practice Role Certification in Massachusetts. Current ACNN &/or AANP Certification. Current DEA Controlled
Substance Registration Number from DPH.
