The Multi-system Intensive Care Unit (ICU) features 24 beds and is located on the 4th floor of our new West Tower. Our Multi-System Intensive Care unit is a combined medical and surgical unit. The nurses on this unit care for patients with multi-system disorders, ranging from acute coronary conditions to multi-organ failure. This ICU also supports patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators and intra-aortic balloon therapy. The Florida Hospital East Orlando ICU is comprised of a caring multidisciplinary team of Nurses, physicians and support staff to meet the needs of their patients.

The ICU RN is a registered professional nurse who is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. Actively provides outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Requirements

* Minimum 1 year current ICU/critical care experience required.

* Florida RN license or the ability to obtain Florida licensure.

* BLS and ACLS certifications.
