BASIC FUNCTION: The Registered Nurse Director is responsible for the oversight of the nursing program and will develop and maintain various sites. The Director is expected to maintain regulatory and internal compliance while ensuring successful retention and the overall success of the program.

KEY ACTIVITIES:

· Develop and maintain clinical affiliations at facilities for Clinicals.
Coordinate schedules for clinical rotations and faculty site instructors.
· Mentor and monitor clinical faculty.
· Collect records, reports, and retains case logs and clinical evaluations.
· Ensuring compliance with State, Institutional, and Programmatic Regulatory
Agencies.
· Maintain grade and attendance records, submit final grades.
· Monitor retention of student at clinical site; call student when absent from site.
· Ensure students have met all requirement of their clinical rotation.
· Monitoring students out on clinical sites.
· Maintains continuing education and professional growth/certification.
· Coordinates and facilitates the respective association, “National Recognition Week” campaign scheduled on the campus.
· Participate in self-study or other reporting activities for the program.

Job Requirements:

* Registered Nurse with at least one year experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
* Bachelor degree and proof of current state licensure.
* A minimum of three to five years recent, practical experience in the discipline.

* Ability to travel amongst the campuses in the DFW area.
